About Us

Family owned and operated

150 Speed Shop LLC became a reality in 2019. Brian Coombs, Michael Heap, and Zeb Wyant joined together to start a service and repair shop. Between them, they have a lot of experience and knowledge in automotive and motorcycle repair. With a strong background in diesel, gasoline, metal fabrication, and electronic systems, there isn't a job that is too small or too large for them to handle. 150 Speed Shop is locally owned and operated. They all take pride in the fact that they can provide a service for the local community.

Coombs Family

Brian Coombs is a Downs native, he and his family currently live in Downs, IL. Brian graduated from Tri-Valley High School. After high school, Brian went to Universal Technical Institute, in Phoenix. Brian then went on to work at independent shops. The independent shops allowed Brian to gain experience and knowledge, in a wide variety of automotive vehicles.

Heap Family

Michael Heap is a Leroy native, he and his family currently live in Leroy, IL. Michael graduated from Leroy High School. After high school, Michael went to Universal Technical Institute, in Glendale Heights. Michael then went to work at a VW, Audi, Volvo, Mercedes, and Subaru dealership. After working at the import dealership, Michael then began working at Chevrolet dealership. Michael would fabricate custom motorcycles in his spare time. One of his cafe style motorcycles was published in a book, “How to build a Cafe Racer.”

Wyant Family

Zeb Wyant is an Ellsworth native, he and his family currently live in Downs, IL. Zeb graduated from Tri-Valley High School. After high school, Zeb went to Lincoln Technical Institute, in Indiana. Zeb then went to work at Cummins. After working at Cummins, Zeb worked at a VW, Audi, Volvo, Mercedes, and Subaru dealership. Later, Zeb began working at Maxlider Bros, building custom high end Broncos. Zeb helped build the 2019 top 12 battle of the builders award winning Clydsdale bronco while part of the Maxlider Bros team.
